INTRODUCTION Over the past 5 years Sunshine Heights Cricket Club, has grown tremendously in the Junior Grades, in the past the club has been proactive in welcoming Children in the West Sunshine area, through the Milo-Have-a-go program, now resonating in participation within the junior age grouping levels. We are a club that recognises the importance of fostering a strong and healthy junior program that will eventually lead into our senior teams, this is a sustainable position that the club encourages. In season 2004, we introduced an under 11’s team, in season 2005, we had both an under 11’s and an under 13’s team, now in season 2008, we will be fielding an under 11’s team, 2 under 13’s, an under 15’s, and an under 17's side. In addition, if resources permit we are hopeful of introducing a Kanga 8’s competition for boys under 10 years of age, and girls under 12years. Sunshine Heights Cricket Club, prides itself on its very multicultural mix of ethnicities at the club, at both the senior and junior levels we have players from backgrounds such as, Sudanese, Sri Lankan, Vietnamese, Greek, Indian, Italian, Cypriot, Russian, to name a few.
