INTRODUCTION Over the past 6 years Sunshine Heights Cricket Club, has grown tremendously in the Junior Grades. In the past the club has been proactive in welcoming Children in the West Sunshine area, through the Milo-Have-a-go program, now resonating in participation within the junior age grouping levels. We are a club that recognises the importance of fostering a strong and healthy junior program that will eventually lead into our senior teams, this is a sustainable position that the club encourages. In season 2004, we introduced an U11’s team. In season 2005, we had an U11’s and an U13’s teams. In season 2006, we had an U11's, and 2 x 13's teams. In season 2007, we had an U11's, U13's and 2 x U15 teams. In season 2008, we had an U11’s, U13’s, 2 x U15’s, and an U17's teams. In season 2009, we are fielding an U11's, 2 x U13's, U15's and 2 x U17's teams. Sunshine Heights Cricket Club, prides itself on its very multicultural mix of ethnicities at the club, in both the senior and junior levels. We have players with, Sudanese, Sri Lankan, Vietnamese, Greek, Indian, Italian, Cypriot, Russian, Croatian backgrounds to name a few.
